Pert is a capital of West Australia state. It is a bright, beautiful, modern city. The population of it is nearly 1,2 million people. Pert is a port city, situated by the banks of Indian ocean.
This city was founded in May, 1829 by captain Charles Fremantle, who landed in the mouth of Swan river. He declared all the rest territory of continent a privacy of England. In June of the same year ships of captain James Sterling delivered the first habitants, who founded themselves their first settlement, which grew up to a beautiful city.
Nowadays Pert is called “the pearl of Australia” – old buildings, a pedestrian area in the center of city and wonderful view on the river, a very nice theatre of 19th century, a huge number of sights, amazing beaches near the Indian ocean and a very nice, warm climate.
The ultramodern buildings of 1970-80s is a usual detail of Pert’s city landscape. Pert has its picture gallery, West Australia museum, casino “Burswood”. Unique examples of state’s flora are presented in park “King” in the center of the city. Here is situated the golden refining plant of Australia, where the metal from another countries is imported to. Not far from Pert you can meet parks “Rottenest Island” and “Swan Wally”.
